Wild Librarian Bakery and Bookstore

The Wild Librarian Bakery & Bookstore is an imaginary place I created. Here is a little about the evolution over time:

Around 2012-2014, I went through the process of getting a home bakery permit through the county where I live. I called my home bakery the Wild Librarian Bakery. The tagline was “vegan baked goods inspired by great books.”
My experiences with the Wild Librarian Bakery transformed into a dream of owning my own place called the Wild Librarian Bakery and Bookstore. I imagined it as a great community gathering place with awesome baked goods, inspiring books, delicious coffee, and diverse events like poetry readings, live music, and art workshops.
In 2016, I made a zine about my dream of opening the bakery bookstore. This was one of my favorite zines I ever created.
All of the above led to the creation of a novel and children's book set in this imaginary space. The reality is that opening such a "real" space is likely beyond my financial means. However, these book creations allowed me to bring more of my dream into the world. It was also a wonderful experience to create many of the beloved characters in the novel.
